As well as the scene's output, the Drawing Window can also show borders for certain nodes (see below). The borders are a bounding box of the node's output - i.e. a box just large enough to enclose all output from the node. As well as the borders, you can display a tag giving the node's name:

To control whether or not the borders and tags are shown, use the Image Borders and Image Tags popup menus.

For the Image Borders, you can choose to show All borders, the border for the currently Selected node, or None.

: This automatically sets the Tags you last used with this choice of borders.

For the Tags, you can likewise choose to show All tags, the tag for the currently Selected node, or None.

You can't show tags without showing the corresponding borders. If you try to select an illegal combination - e.g. showing All tags, when you are only showing the Selected border - the necessary borders are shown.

These are the nodes for which borders appear:

Image sources - i.e. nodes that have no input. These include Ink&Paint and BG/OL nodes.

Camera nodes.

Transform-type nodes which can move the input image in two dimensions. These include Transform and Move nodes.

Nodes that perform compositing - i.e. nodes that have multiple inputs.

Moving the tags

If any tags overlap, you can Ctrl-drag them to a new position (i.e. hold down the Ctrl key, and then use the mouse to drag the tag to a new position.). You cannot drag the tag away from the border to which it belongs.
